I am passionate about helping people. Everyone needs help at some point in their lives. You may be wondering if you need professional help. It takes courage to reach out to a therapist.
I have a strong relational approach to working with clients, creating a warm, safe, and non-judgmental space to explore issues. I use an eclectic mix of modalities tailored to each client or couple I work with.

Individual Counselling
Do you feel like there is something in your way? A boulder you can’t shift? Are you getting in your own way? Do you have low self-esteem? Are you struggling with a break-up or divorce? Can you not see the wood for the trees? I am here to help.
Working with the right counsellor can significantly help improve self-esteem. By creating a safe and supportive environment you can express your thoughts, emotions, and concerns which allows exploration of the underlying causes of self-esteem. We can develop coping strategies, challenge negative thought patterns, and set goals together to boost how you feel about yourself.
Are you struggling with anxiety or depression?
I am trained in a range of modalities and use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) most frequently for anxiety and depression. CBT is an evidence-based approach focusing on the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. It successfully modifies negative thought patterns and behaviours that contribute to anxiety and depression.
Trauma
When talk therapy isn’t enough for trauma, it may be an indication that the trauma is more complex or deeply rooted, requiring additional or alternative approaches to address it effectively. Trauma can have a profound impact on an individual’s mental, emotional, and physical well-being, and finding the right treatment approach is essential for healing and recovery. In cases like this, I use Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). The primary goal of ART is to help individuals effectively process and resolve traumatic experiences and associated symptoms. It is particularly helpful for individuals who have experienced post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), as well as other trauma-related conditions such as anxiety, depression, and phobias.
Couple Counselling
I strongly believe that any couple issue can be overcome in counselling if both parties are fully committed to working it through. It can feel like an uphill climb but with persistence and guidance you will get there.
Are you ready to improve your communication? Do you need help managing conflict? Couple counselling is beneficial for couples experiencing significant relationship problems but also for those who want to strengthen their relationship and prevent issues in the future. You can address minor concerns or differences before they escalate into major problems. Couple counselling can help increase emotional connection or repair hurt.
I create a safe neutral space for all parties to be heard. I am trained in Gottman Method Couple Therapy and use their interventions, which are evidence-based and tailored to the specific needs and dynamics of each couple.
